The Billericay School - Key Dates/Admission Appeal Procedure Year 7 Entry September 2025

Parent/carers refused a place have a right of appeal to an independent appeals panel.

Appeals should be lodged within 20 school days of a refusal and be sent direct to The Billericay School.

The Billericay School Appeal Form is available on the school website or upon request.

Local Authority Closing Date for Applications

3 March 2025

National Offer Day

Essex County Council send offer notifications to Essex resident applicants.

1 April 2025 (9.00am)

Deadline for lodging an Appeal

This is the latest date to lodge an appeal against a refusal of a place if you want an appeal to be heard before the end of the Summer term.

12 and 13 June 2025

Appeal Hearings 

For those lodged by deadline 

September 2025 onwards

Late Appeal Hearings

For those lodged late – i.e. after deadline date and not heard by the end of the Summer term.

  • The Billericay School will write to parents/carers of students that are listed on the school's waiting list for September 2025 Intake (once published by the Local Authority), confirming your child's position on the waiting list. 
  • Admission authorities may make arrangements for appeal hearings to be held in person or remotely by video conference or a mixture of the two (hybrid). Please note that appeals lodged by parents/carers in relation to refusal of a place at The Billericay School will be held remotely.
