The Billericay School Annual Careers Convention
The annual Careers Convention will take place on 21 January 2025.
The evening is aimed at Year 9, Year 11 and Year 13 students, but all are invited. The intention is to help students to make informed choices about their future. Many of the local colleges, along with our own sixth form, will be on hand to answer any questions that you may have.
Representatives from business, professional bodies, further education colleges, training organisations, higher education institutes, Southend Connexions Service and The Billericay School staff will be available to give advice and information on different job areas.
National Apprenticeship Week
National Apprenticeship Week takes place 10 - 14 February 2025. The theme for this year is 'Skills for Life'.
Some of the events in school include:
- Assemblies
- Year 10 and 11 virtual presentations on apprenticeships
- Year 10 virtual presentation on accountancy apprenticeships
- Year 9 Greentech event at Ford
Mock Interview Programme Year 10
Year 10 students will take part in a mock interview Programme on 25 - 26 February 2025. Over the course of the two days students will have 20 minute interview with a business professional and will have the opportunity to get feedback for both their interview and CV.
National Careers Week
National Careers Week takes place 3 - 7 March 2025. Some of the events in school include:
- Assemblies
- Department of Work and Pensions Presentation on Local Labour Market Information and Careers for the Future.
- Year 7 STEM event
Year 10 Work Experience Week
The Year 10 Work Experience week will run from 2 – 6 June 2025.
We run a compulsory one week work experience programme for all students in Year 10.
