Jack Bowden Kindness Award
We are honoured to introduce the ‘Jack Bowden Kindness Award’, a new award and recognition scheme created in partnership with Jack Bowden’s family, friends and staff, in memory of Jack who sadly passed away from cancer this year.
Jack’s bright spirit, compassion, and positive outlook on life touched the hearts of many, and it is in his honour that we wish to celebrate acts of kindness among students and staff.
The Jack Bowden Award for Kindness is awarded to students and staff who demonstrate one or more of the following qualities:
- Shows generosity: giving their time to help others.
- Shows inclusivity: being sensitive to other people’s values and opinions, ensuring that everyone feels included.
- Shows compassion: going out of their way to help someone in need.
- Shows gratitude: being thankful and respectful to everyone with a positive attitude.
- Shows positivity: actively looking for ways to make a positive difference.
This term we had over 400 nominations. Many of the students nominated will receive postcards at the start of next term and standout nominations were awarded in assembly with a certificate and a badge.
